1- Firstly group’s name was Shadowed.but then it was chanced that named Horna why did it chance?

We changed when we decided to start writing lyrics in Finnish, and Shadowed wasn’t really an interesting name to keep…

2-What is the story about foundation of Horna?

Three young guys meet each other, start a band, learn instruments, make music… Share the same passion for creating art for the darkness.

3- Horna recorded 3 demo, 6 full length, 14 split, 8 ep, 2 best of, 1 live album.Which album do you think the best for Horna?

Some of the best songs are on “Sudentaival” but it’s production is the worst of our history… in this light, “Envaatnags…” album is the best so far, but only until the new album is out.

4- Why did Satanurs leave the band and what is the effects?

He left live activity previously and completely after we had recorded the new album. His part in Horna will remain forever remarkable in the band’s history and nothing will come to replace his vision.

5- Can you give information about ‘Haudankylmyyden Mailla’ album?

What is there to say? We made this album a bit too fast after the previous one, original member Moredhel left the band in middle of the studio session and I personally almost died of shitty stomach infection… This album has it’s bad feelings, but it’s also pure black metal, too much in the Norwegian vein though…

6- Do you working on a new album?

No, the new album is already completed and will be released in October 2008. It is titled “Sanojesi Äärelle” and will be released in Europe by Debemur Morti and in North-America by Moribund Cult.

7- What do you listen from old school?

Anything I enjoy… Venom, Bathory, Possessed, Beherit, Blasphemy etc…… too many bands to mention.

And it’s also a matter of view what you consider “old school”… some consider even Horna that!

8- What do you think about Black Metal’s present time and past?

The present time is flooded with useless bands and labels… it’s the disease of everything spreading so easily via internet and home recording, and cd manufacturing prices coming down… In the past there was a lot more mystique and there needed to be something really special about a band to get their album released, or even recorded.

Nowadays anyone can do it…

9- What is your religion?

Satanic heathen.

10- You are very carefully about not be a populer band.What do you think about populer BM groups?

We never aimed for this bullshit so we I think we get honest respect. I have no place in my heard for bands seeking to be popular… Fuck off.

11- After the Sirkkelirock Metal Weekend Fest Horna achieved some popularite.Do it unsettle to you?

Haha, I don’t even know what you mean by that. I also don’t even remember what gig that was, but apparently it hasn’t done anything to us.

If we cared about that, might be another story…

12- You are very racialist.what are specialities your racial from other racials?

I think everyone has their good qualities and should show these to people they are with.

A useless human being is still useless no matter what’s his skin colour or origin, everyone must make their own place and not be a pestilent leech to others…

13- Do you know Turkish Black Metal groups?

Not many, no, but Episode 13 was a really good one I heard.


14- When do you think to come to Turkey?

Probably never, we are stopping live activity in the end of 2008 and before that I doubt anything happens… Unfortunately so, otherwise we would come if possible! Hail Satan!
